Nik Lubisich
President | Certified Agent, MLBPA
Nik is the President and Founder of NW Sports Management Group, the Northwest-based sports agency he started in 2008, after completing a professional baseball career with the Chicago White Sox. His time as a pitcher with the Chicago White Sox was cut short due to injury, as he had two shoulder procedures that ended his career in 2007.
Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, the fifth of six children, he has never strayed far from his Northwest roots. Nik attended Willamette University, a small liberal arts college in Salem, Oregon, where he excelled in both the classroom and on the playing field. He earned a degree in Business Economics in 2001, and was elected by a panel of his peers to the Willamette University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011.
The President of NWSMG has many passions in life that range from most sports, to playing the piano, and speaking Spanish. He is responsible for starting NW Futures, an elite, youth baseball academy in Vancouver, Washington. Nik works to align his professional clients with youth in the area at the NW Athletic Center, an indoor facility he owns and operates. It is, and will continue to be, his vision to help the youth in the Northwest work toward their athletic dreams and aspirations with the help of his clients.
Jordan Carter
Vice President & Legal Counsel
Another native of the Northwest who has been with NW Sports Management Group since its inception is Jordan Carter. Jordan is Vice President and Head Legal Counsel for NWSMG where he is involved in player representation and a variety of legal and contractual matters, negotiations, and general business matters involving the firm and its clients.
After graduating summa cum laude from Oregon State University in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Jordan studied law at the University of Oregon where he earned his Juris Doctorate. As a licensed attorney, he has spent his professional career practicing law in Oregon and working in the commercial real estate industry. Jordan’s love for the game ultimately brought him back together with his high school teammate and friend, Nik Lubisich, where they combined their skills and experiences to provide a multi-faceted sports agency focusing on the needs of today’s professional athlete.
With his legal background, negotiation skills, and overall business knowledge, Jordan is great compliment to the NWSMG team and a true asset to our clients.
